Heo Woong (Busan KCC) has taken the top spot in the fan voting for the All-Star Game.
Fan voting for the 2023-2024 Korean Basketball League All-Star Game began at 12 p.m. on July 27. As of 8 p.m. today (April 4), more than a week after voting began, Hwoong is in first place.
With 61,258 votes, Heo won over the second-place finisher, Suwon KT‘s Heo Hoon (59,482 votes).
Heo, who began his professional career as a DB for Wonju with the fifth pick in the first round of the 2014 draft, first topped the All-Star Game fan vote in 2016.
Heung, who topped the poll again the following year, served with the club until January 2019.
While Heo was in the military, the top two players were Oh Se-geun (2018) and Yang Hong-seok (2019).
From 2020, it was Heo’s time. He won the top spot for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021.
After Heo Hoon enlisted in the army, Heo Woong’s dominance began again. He won the All-Star first place in 2022 and 2023.
With Heo’s two sons in a close race for the top spot once again, it will be interesting to see who the fan-voted All-Star No. 1 will be.
In third place was Goyang’s Sono Lee Jung-hyun (52,989 votes) and in fourth place was Anyang’s Jung Kwan-jang Park Ji-hoon (42,760 votes).
Choi Jun-yong, Song Kyo-chang, Moon Sung-gon, Lee Jung-hyun (Seoul Samsung), Jeon Sung-hyun, and Kim Nak-hyun rounded out the top 10.
Five players from each club were selected as All-Stars. A total of 12 players can be voted for once per day, with a maximum of two players per club.
Unlike in the past, when the first and second place players made up the team, this time, the managers of the first and second place teams in the regular season (as of December 17) will be the managers of the All-Star Game and will select the coaches and players.
Voting will close on Dec. 18 at 12 p.m., and the results will be made private starting Dec. 16, three days before voting closes.
The All-Star Game will be held on January 14, 2024. 토토
