The Korea Football Association, which dismissed head coach Jürgen Klinsmann (Germany) of the national soccer team, has begun the process of appointing a new head coach.
On the 20th, the Korea Football Association announced,
“We will hold an executive meeting this morning to form a national team strength strengthening committee.”
The association has begun in earnest the process of selecting the national team coach,
which became vacant due to the dismissal of coach Klinsmann.

The Strength Enhancement Committee for manager selection is composed of the Chairman of the Strength Enhancement Committee selected through the Korea Football Association’s executive meeting.
Therefore, attention is focused on who will be appointed as the new chairman of the Power Strengthening Committee through today’s executive meeting.
Inside and outside the Football Association, names such as soccer commentator Lee Young-pyo, Football Association Technology Development Committee Chairman Lee Im-saeng, and Football Association Competition Committee Chairman Jeong Hae-seong are being discussed as candidates for the Chairman of the Power Strengthening Committee.
Michael Müller (Germany), who chaired the Power Strengthening Committee in January of last year,
appointed Coach Klinsmann, but Korea was eliminated by Jordan in the semifinals of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup, which Korea had set as its goal of winning.
