NC named Kim Hyung-joon and Han Jae-seung as March-April Tournament MVPs

The NC Dinos have announced their March-April team MVPs.

NC announced on March 10, “Pitcher Han Jae-seung and outfielder Kim Hyung-joon were selected as the March-April MVPs. Pitchers Shin Young-woo, Choi Woo-seok, and outfielder Kim Bum-joon were selected as the April MVPs for the C team.”

NC’s monthly MVPs are voted on by the players and on-site staff. A total of 60 players voted for the MVP, with Kim receiving 46 votes and Han Jae-seung receiving 36 votes, making him a two-hit MVP.

In 24 games in March and April, Kim hit .300 with 24 doubles, six home runs, and 18 RBIs in 80 at-bats. “I received the MVP award with the help and encouragement of many people. I’m glad I was able to repay them for their support, and it’s great to have my brother Se-hyuk (Park) here with me and telling me good things. I will do my best on the field to help the team win.”

Jae-seung appeared in 16 games during the period, going 14-9 with 16 strikeouts, four walks and two earned runs in 14 innings with a 1.29 ERA. “I’m very honored to be named MVP of the month. My baseball brothers helped me a lot, and my pitching brothers taught me a lot and helped me. Kim played in 17 games, batting .291 with 16 hits in 55 at-bats, five home runs, 13 RBIs, and five doubles. Shin went 1-1 with a 2.84 ERA in three games with five hits, six walks, six strikeouts and six runs (four earned) in 12.2 innings, while Choi Woo-seok went 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA in seven games with two hits, five walks and one run in seven innings.
