A big season. Ten days early to get ready in Arizona.

Six of the LG Twins’ young pitchers left the country early to prepare for spring training.

LG’s Son Ju-young (26), Jung Woo-young (25), Lee Ji-gang (25), Kim Yun-sik (24), Lee Sang-young (24), and Kang Hyo-jong (22) will fly to Arizona 20 days early. First, they will go to a warm place to relax their shoulders and prepare for spring training.

For each of them, the 2024 season is important.

Chung Woo-young is desperate to rebound. In 2022, he won his first ever Holds title with 35, but in 2023, he was left to shake his head in disbelief. His season was ruined by trying to fix his quickness. In 60 games, he went 5-6 with 11 holds. His ERA jumped from 2.64 in 2022 to 4.70 last year. Woo-young slow quickness led to 29 stolen bases and only one caught in 2022, so he tried to fix it quickly last year, but it took a toll on his pitching. His velocity dropped and his sinker, his main weapon, lost movement. He also struggled to find his secondary pitches. He threw a four-seam fastball and a curveball, but there was no clear “it” pitch. As he struggled, Jung Woo-young, 바카라사이트 who was in charge of the eighth inning in front of closer Ko Woo-seok, was pulled forward. He needs to rebound this year. Just as Go Woo-seok made it to the major leagues through posting, Jung Woo-young dreams of the big leagues. Two more years and he’ll be eligible. A sidearm pitcher who throws more than 155 kilometers is definitely attractive.

Kim Yun-sik and Son Ju-young need to establish themselves as starters.

Both are currently better than after five starts. It’s a competition. LG’s current starting rotation consists of Detrick Enns, Casey Kelly, Choi Won-tae, and Lim Chan-kyu. For the fifth spot, Han Ji-ri Kim and Son Ju-young are in the running. Kim Yun-sik was the domestic ace in the second half of 2022, going 8-5, including a start in Game 3 of the playoffs against Kiwoom, where he faced Ahn Woo-jin and allowed three hits and one run over 5⅔ innings. He started the 2023 season as the third starter but did not perform well. He struggled to find his form during the WBC. Kim rebounded in the second half of the season, but only went 6-4 with a 4.22 ERA. However, he showed his big-game form again in Game 4 of the Korean Series, pitching 5⅔ innings of three-hit, one-run ball to earn the win.

Son Joo-young is another starting pitching prospect being developed by LG. He was a five-starter in the 2022 season after returning from the Commerce, but underwent elbow surgery. He returned last year and showed promise with one win. LG coach Yeom Kyung-yeop is considering both of them as the fifth starter for now. Kim Yun-sik has the head start, but results could change in camps and exhibition games. Depending on the situation, Kim Yun-sik and Son Joo-young could alternate starts. They’ll need to be ready to step up and take advantage of their opportunities, as they could be used as substitutes if the regular starters are sidelined due to injury, poor performance, or fitness.

Kang Hyo-jong and Lee Ji-gang are the two right-handed alternatives.

Kang Hyo-jong started as the fifth starter last year, but was unable to deliver in the first inning. His major league-quality rotation caught Yeom’s eye, and he pitched well in the trials to earn the fifth spot. He earned his first win on April 6 against Kiwoom with five scoreless innings of relief, but his stability declined after that, and he was eventually demoted to the second team in May. Kang Hyo-jong is LG’s favorite right-handed starter, and he’ll likely step in when there’s a starting spot open.

Lee made 12 appearances as a substitute starter last year, and Yoon consistently gave him chances because of his strong stuff. He earned his first start on September 19 against the Gwangju KIA, throwing five innings of four-hit ball. Lee appeared in 22 games and posted a 2-5 record. He will continue to serve as an alternate starter this season to prepare for the future.

Lee Sang-young went on an eight-game winning streak with the Commerce last year and was expected to be a great addition to the LG mound after his discharge from the military. However, the second and first teams were different, 토토사이트 추천 and Sang-young went through a revision process to change to a simpler pitching style. This season, he will challenge for the first team in the bullpen. With left-hander Seung-jo Ham Deok-ju having elbow surgery, Lee has a chance. Depending on how he does in spring training, he could be a starter from the start of the season.

These six pitchers are leaving 10 days early. Each of them has their own dreams.
